New Hotels in Taipei

There are two new hotels in Taipei!1

YEA!!

It will open in autumn of 2011!
The Hotel INDIGO Taipei XinYi is located on Xinyi Road, in the proximity of Xinyi and Daan district, close by the MRT Red Line, connected to the city hall center and key business area.
The hotel has 173 luxury rooms all equipped with complimentary wired and wireless internet access, state of art fitness center, an urban SPA and signature restaurants with various cuisines.

2) Holiday Inn Express Taipei:

It will also open in 3rd quarter of 2011!

The Holiday Inn Express Taipei XinYi is located on Xinyi Road, in the proximity of Xinyi and Daan district, close by the MRT Red Line, connected to the city hall center and key business areas.
The hotel has 112 rooms all equipped with complimentary wired and wireless internet access and a Great Room. Other facilities included a fitness center, an urban SPA, and signature restaurants with various cuisines.

Both of these hotels are in the InterContinental Hotel Group and I think they are in the same building too.

This will be their very first hotel in Taiwan (and their third hotel in Asia outside Japan and Mainland China). Kudos to them.

Btw:
It looks quite a number of new hotels are focused on the Xinyi district. In that case, I guess Taipei 101 is doing its job then

Anyways:
Here's another place to stay when you are in the country. Although it's name is not as known as international establishments (like Shangrila, Starwood Hotels group, Hyatt, etc.), it has been gaining fame especially after gaining promotion when Cyril Takayama chose this as his place of stay when he was peforming magic tricks in Taiwan a year ago.
