I dunno why but im very much attracted to this street
Jesus.
Great pictures man. I miss New Orleans so much!!!
Nice...interesting to see the city through the eyes of someone that is from another city. I think it is really cool that you came over to my neck of the woods by Bayou St. John (pic of the guys in the canoe). You covered some real estate.

Not all tourists go that far north in the city. It is cool that you went somewhere besides the French Quarter.

I couldn't agree more. Excellent pictures. I also particularly like the night shot with the wet buildings & streets.

Here are some pictures I took about 8 years ago. Sorry for the poor picture quality, they were taken with a film camera and scanned.

Thanks! I used to do some IT work for a law firm on the 50 - 51st floor and asked them permission to take a photo from up there. The first time I was there I thought it would be a cool photo. The second time I was there, I brought my camera. :)
Very nice pics from both contributors. I've always wanted to get up to the top floor of One Shell to see the view. That pic may be the closest I get.
New Orleans is a very nice city. I like the way french arquitectural influence mixes with subtropical weather and the palm trees of the avenues. Thanks for sharing with us, greetings from Brazil! :eek:kay:

It's easy to get up there. Just give your ID, tell the security desk that you need to go to Liskow and Lewis (the law firm.) You can take the elevator up to 50. There's a small elevator to 51. Just look professional. No one will question you! Well, they never questioned me.

Another trip that's worth it is the top of Place St. Charles...with the big bay windows. The view from those windows is amazing. There's no security desk at all. You can take the elevators up to the sky lobby at 14 and go on up to the top, which is the Jones Walker firm.
It'd be nice if the next major tower built in NO has a floor for public viewing. I miss NO, I used to spend a lot of time there, but haven't been back since the mid-90's. My wife may be going next month, but I'll have used all my vacation time by then :(
