Apartment tower planned for Southport waterfront

Gold Coast Bulletin, Friday 18th March 2005

A high-rise site overlooking the Broadwater at Southport - formerly part of the estate of early Gold Coast developer Clive Hammond - has been earmarked for a 19-level apartment tower.

The 1819sqm site is at 70 Marine Parade and is owned by Portbray, linked to Gold Coast property industry figures David Cherry and Graeme Swanger.

Anyone have any information on this?

I think you left out Sanbano Southport, which is the site of the car yard on the corner of Nerang St and Rawlins Street opposite Officeworks.

Good indication of what is to come though. And welcome to the forum.
