Some pics from a nice spring day in downtown New West, mainly along the riverfront. Taken Monday April 9, 2018

In the background is tower 4 of plaza 88 development at the new westminster skytrain station, I think its a rental building.

the colourful building is a retailshopping centre built above and around the skytrain station, there is also a nice multiscreen movie theatre

salvation army is housed in an old train building from 1910. It was restored in the last decade, previously it looked pretty non-descript.

a fire destroyed an old building a few years ago, currently houses the presentation centre for the condo development and a small community park. The street area was covered by a multi storey parkade which was made smaller a few years back.

Nice pictures! New Westminster looks like an interesting city. The riverfront is gritty and industrial. Then Columbia Street has a nice mix of old and new. Both aren't what I think of when I think of the Vancouver area.

By the way, I like the name for the Salmonbellies.
