Documents filed with the city reveal that another tower is in the proposal phase along 57th Street. The future building, at 105 West 57th, will contain 51 floors and rise 671' high. Despite the building's height, there will only be 27 apartments! The building is likely to be extremely luxurious, and prices on the finished product are likely to be quite astronomical. 10,000 square feet of the building will also be dedicated to ground-floor retail, with any tenant likely to be quite high-end given the building's prime location.

Image source is a dead link. Yet another for 57th street, though!

That looks like a damn good location to live in. The fact that it only has 27 apartments make me wonder how big these apartments are going to be. It's good to see something else planned or in prep.

What the ...?? NY is on a role, let's just hope that those proposed project are going to be built eventually. The fact that this is a residential tower makes me pretty optimistic though (--> high demand on residential units).

@babybackribs2314: Good job man, keep on digging up those DOB documents! :D

great news! but that render seems a bit fake, or the buildings of that area are really that short? and there's really such a wide open space there?

I saw this project long ago. But since then, never knew anything about it. But if this development is filed to 51 floors, is good news, a sign that will be a tall tower.
