1100 ft is probably the maximum allowance like 215 west 57th being denoted as 1550 ft. Right now it depends on what Silverstein wants to build. He could build two sizeable towers or what could probably be a single supertall. The twins would help increase the visual density of the area but a supertall would be a nice entrance so to speak for the Hudson yards.

Silverstein already succeeded with the nearby Silver Towers, developing residential towers while the market is hot is something they can't miss out on while the expensive WTC is taking too long to complete.

as China grows they will invest more and more into world real estate, especially in the US. I'm sure that if it weren't for 2008, there would already be a few tall towers with Chinese backers here in the states.

this will be next to the leftmost placeholder tower in this rendering, and taller than 3 Hudson Boulevard/ the Girasole (supertall left of 55 Hudson Yards)

Hudson Yards Supertalls:
Tishman Speyer Acquisition/Hudson Spire - likely 1300ft+
30 HY 1227ft
35 HY ~1000ft+
50 HY ~1060 ft
3 Hudson Boulevard -1050 ft
514 11th -1100 ft
Manhattan West 1 - possibly 984 ft+
Manhattan West 2 - possibly 984 ft+

unless there is any news, this project is not cancelled. There was an article which came out awhile back which claimed it was, but Silverstein rebuked that claim not long after.

edit: Jeez its even on this page! There's been no news of the site being sold, so Silverstein is waiting until other projects are finished before this one is started. Silverstein has 2 and 3 WTC, 30 Park Place, and Riverside's One West End to finish up.

Larry Silverstein wouldn't live to see both this and 2 WTC built (and successful) if his company proceeds this way. That's a whopping 3.8 MSF to fill, 1 MSF being on the fringe of an area that already offers millions of square feet on the market. They would have to offer a convincing deal to attract tenants, with this site being much further from Penn and the 7 Line.

still nothing ? When are they schedules to start the pilling phasing ?
The developer is mulling over designs. The latest says they were considering a two-towered concept with a large office tower and a residential tower. I think that's unlikely because they've yet to fill 3 WTC or land a single tenant for 2 WTC.
I suggest updating this project as on hold until there's news.
