Looks nothing short of incredible!!! However, I recommend you view it on a very good PC, since it really is massive... Also, to minimize building load times, super-size the cache (In the upper right corner: Options>3D Options) to 40GB if you are viewing without textures, and 50GB if you are viewing with textures.

EDIT: Just realized I did a double post, mods if you could delete the first one it would be awesome :)

omg, i want to play gta in that city.
GTA3 (and soon GTA4) both take place in Liberty City, which is a ripoff of New York. Also Spiderman 2 and True Crimes: Streets of New York both take place in realistically modeled versions of NYC, all ready to explore.

Hope that helps :)
yeah i had true crime. the manhattan represented in the game was okay, it was only street accurate; all the buildings were random/inaccurate. - can't fault the devs though, it would be impossible to do every building perfect (like in that VIDEO!)

i played through it once, and if i remember correctly, there were buildings where certain landmarks were supposed to be, like the ESB and flatiron.

I bet the new GTA based in NYC will be pretty accurate
i doubt it. liberty city's 4 boros combined are supposed to be roughly the size of 3/4 of manhattan or some shit. - i don't care about accuracy in gta4 though; it's a parody of nyc and it'll be awesome (remember, GTA1 was developed in the UK and was their stereotypical view of violent america + humor)

Anyone try out the new "Street View" on Google Maps?

You can go on your neighborhood block...it's sick.
How do you look around the 3d buildings like that?, Wish you could add the WTC like you can with google earth,.
Maybe I'll ask again... How do I get this Virtual Earth? Did you guys buy it? Is it part of google earth or what?

Just run Google Earth and turn on 3D buildings, you can also change the view angle so it seems like being in that city.

yeah, I know about the 3d buildings... but I've never seen them with texture and colour. I can only see the buildings as big white buildings...
Maybe it depends of the certain buildings or the city, or maybe also of the computer configuration :)
