That cladding is like a mirror!
I believe they intended it to look like a waterfall, and the random shades of blue on the side representing the way water sparkles in the light.I'm not very keen on this design, especially the random cladding and random lumps and curves with no logic or consistency. It's disappointing for a Pritzker Prize winning architect.
When the cladding is finished, the sky's reflection will make it shine bright blue. :cheers:Will the left half (on the 57th street side) still be blue-ish glass when the protective film is removed? If it's just gonna be greyish like the 58th street side I'll be very disappointed.
The east and west sides are great with the multi colored panels. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
