Yes , eventually it will run on both sides of the River up to the Morris & Essex River Bridge... There in the process on securing funding and prep work in some sections near the Bridge Street Bridge...

When is the lower Passaic River cleanup supposed to start?

The park is fully funded as of late last year when the funding referendum was fully approved. They are waiting on Army Corp of Engineers to finish their work, which is quickly occurring near the Bridge Street Bridge and others.

From my understanding, once the park is built it's going to be handed over to the county for maintenance.

It is, however the lights have not been on at night in that section or the existing one on the other side of the bridge since the new section was opened. Does anyone know when those lights will finally be turned on?

I was just there yesterday and saw the lights on. They were not on a few weeks earlier on either side, despite the second section being open for a few months. I had messaged the city through Facebook and they didn't respond, but it seems something finally happened.
