Crown Posada under new ownership as Sir John Fitzgerald pub group is acquired

Ladhar Group has acquired the firm's 16 pubs in a multimillion-pound deal

The landmark deal brings an end to the family’s trading in area since the days of Queen Victoria – but the deal with the Ladhar Group ensures the company’s North East heritage and ownership remain firmly in the city.

The Ladhar Group, which works in the care, property and leisure sectors, was built by brothers Amarjit and Baldev Ladhar and is now run by their sons Barry and Michael, with its substantial leisure portfolio already including the likes of Pleased To Meet You, Lady Greys and the Gunner Tavern.

Both the holding co and the operations have been sold. There could be some other knock ons - I am trying to check whether the non licenced properties have also been sold

Does anyone know if this is true? Cooperage has been sold to another company and is coming back as a pub.

A lot of people that used to go there on that post are excited but will probably be disappointed when it comes back as yet another bland £6 craft beers and 'gourmet' pizza bar that Newcastle is littered with now.
Not on my radar - do you have any Apartment contacts. AFIK it's owned either by the group or Duncan F.
