I remember Pravda... I think there was an assumption that although it was totally out on a limb, the Quayside would grow westwards to link it in properly... and then didn't.
I have memories of a pub that was in Eldon Square shopping centre and had an entrance onto Old Eldon Square. It was (roughly speaking) Where Nando's is now.
Anyone remember what it was called?

Fatboy Leisure have recieved planning permission (April 7th) to make this eyesore into a new bar for the "pink Triangle" on Scottswood Road, next to The Eagle.
Not sure of the company name. They also run the Stage Door, I think. Camp David is no more, however. It is called something else, possibly 'Eazy Street'? I thought it was a rename, until i visited and it's certainly not on-brand with anything Camp David was before.does anyone know who owns North Bar and Camp David in Newcastle? not necessarily the buildings but the bars themselves?
