When I think about the grief L'Occitane (rightly enough if dem's the rules) had when their window frames were the wrong shade of mustard (they're closing on Christmas Eve by the way)... I do wonder how a good 80% of Grainger Town gets way with what it does. It's soooo depressing at the minute.

I used to very regularly visit a friends house from 1967 to 1970, who lived on the other side of Brinkburn Street opposite the Library, about twenty houses 'down' from it.

I remember the Library well, but (my memory is not consistent) I do not remember a sun-ray place !!! What was that?

The Sun Ray Clinic is unique and was opened in the late 1920’s as can be seen from the foundation stones. The idea of eminent physician Sir James Spencer the clinic subjected children to doses of artificial sun light to try and cure such conditions as rickets and skin decease’s. Evidently the clinic closed in the 1980’s.
