Since it was the long weekend, my family and I along with some friends decided to take the trip to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls remains a major tourist attraction in Canada and its popularity among Canadians and Americans is growing.

Various hotels in the area including the Marriot

The casino and hotel

Looking towards the Rainbow Bridge

Maid of the Mist

Probably part of the old hydro power complex

The American side

The park neighbouring the Falls

The Sheraton hotel under construction

Clifton Hill, the major tourist street in the city

Part of the old hydroelectric complex in the area

The writing on the stone is dedicated to Nikola Tesla and the Yugoslav people

Niagara-on-the-Lake. I would have taken more pictures, but my batteries ran out. :(

Don't mean to be ethnocentric, but that Tesla stone is nothing compared to what's right across the border. And now to be ethnocentric, George Yerich owns the Skylon and the surrounding complex :crazy2:.

Anyway, great pics
The falls are definitely an awesome attraction, but here's a completely arbitrary tidbit to occupy your SSC time:
Supposedly an increase in the construction of highrise hotels along the Niagara (as a response to expanding tourism) has prevented water vapour from spreading inland, causing sightseers to get drenched more so than in previous years. Looking at your photos I can't possibly fathom how this problem exists, but its something that is being taken into account for future construction. (Sweet, that was at least 2 seconds.)

Nice photos, Pyro! But you should have entered the new Fallsview-Niagara casino/hotel and took pics of this new $10 million dollar tribute to Nikola Tesla:yes:

Its called Teslatron, and is the centerpiece in the lobby of this billion dollar casino:

Lol, as we walked around you could hear our people everywhere. Most Serbs probably go to Niagara Falls at least once a year, or so it appears. Usually when family members come for a visit, it's the first place they show them outside of their own city.

Just you wait till the Serbian gathering at Niagara in June. You'll be hearing a lot more Serbian going around.;)

Yeah, not to mention that most of the place is owned by Serbs;)
Also, the annual Vidovdan piknik on St. George church grounds...attracts tens of thousands over the last weekend of June.
