NINGBO (China): Twin Towers, 480m!!

they remind me of the world trade center twin towers, maybe its the color

Nanjing has a 510m skyscraper under planning stage. I believe many Chinese cities have similiar ambitious plan to build some high-rises. (except Beijing where there's a height limitation)

Pretty nice design. Reminds me more of the Rialto towers

Yes, for some reason the day picture reminds me of the wtc too.
But this is a great project, and incredibly tall! The skyline looks great on the render, let's hope it all goes well

I think they are actually building a Shangri La hotel tower there. They are still doing the fundation and the site is pretty large.

Yeh, 250m seems a lot more likely to me. I counted the floors of the left tower in the night shot and it seems to have about 67 floors. And 67s into 480m is 7.1m floor height - WAY to much. If there are 67s into 250m that makes it a 3.7m floor height - much more likely.

I havn't been able to find any sources at all for this. If anyone has any articles or websites that would be a big help.

I hope that isn't true but the renders look kinda small for a 1575 ft tower.

250m is correct. Especially since the towers surrounding the twins are obviously not 300m tall.

rockin... now if only the us could stop bombing people and improve our economy i may live to see somthing like this built in LA

Anyway, i found this article in some chinese page, probably Ningbo's own development and project section, where they claim they are 480m tall. Im trying to find more, but as usual its impossible to find anything about china searching google or yahoo.
