Addison, TX

I have been in town for a few days, staying at the Hilton Suites Dallas North, great hotel. I decided to walk from the hotel to Target, and felt a little out of place considering there were very few sidewalks, and also, I was the only one on foot. Really strange not passing anyone else, other than the luxury cars and SUVs speeding by me. I was amazed at the number of hotels located within such a small area. Galleria Mall is quite nice, too! One of my newest favorite buildings is providence Tower...

Fogo De Chao was awesome--my first time there. Champs was pretty cool, really busy for a wednesday night. Had really great ribs there. Tonight we move to the Hilton Park City, so I guess the next area to check out is the West End.

I love Addison. Its nice and there is plenty to do in such a small area. I worked there for almost 2yrs at the Addsion Tower for an avaition insurance company and enjoyed the time. Hope you like it too!

Just an FYI to anyone outside of DFW who may care, that side of the Dallas North Tollway from the Galleria is Farmers Branch, Tx. (Providence Towers shown in the photo up above.) Always liked that building as well. You can't get that full broadside angle on the building anymore though (since the early 2000s) as it's sandwiched in by other stuff.

You're absolutely right about the view now..in the late 80's, it was pretty much by itself and the view of the building off the Tollway was terrific. Now you don't really see the full scale of the building from far away anymore and that's too bad.

It is not too often that a suburb can be so much fun, but Addison is great!

Rained today dammit, so we did not have a chance to see too much; went to the 6th floor museum at Dealey Plaza...very interesting. Tomorrow maybe head to 6 flags, the Aquarium...

The West End is pretty cool. Lots of construction around, and the W Hotel is looking really good. I have to question the management though considering hey hired a loser to be the Director of Sales & Marketing; a b*tch I know from Calgary. She is the most useless thing. I bet they will regret bringing the cow down, but oh well....

Later folks!
