We plan to do a One on One tournament about European Football stadiums. You can use this thread to nominate your 3 favorites.

rules:
- nominated stadiums must be in Europe and must be able to host football (soccer) matches of league teams and national teams.
- maximum of 3 nominations
- do not use this thread for discussions

Please add images as suggestions we can use for the line-up. Please keep in mind the image used will be a square 330 x 330 pixels.

They have to have a league team playing in it? Surely that's a bad rule because it means we cant include stadiums such as Wembley, Arena Lviv, Aviva Stadium, Millenium Stadium or Stade de France.

Ill do my nominations this weekend but I thought id ask this first because I wanted to include Arena Lviv and the Aviva stadium and its a bit unfair to exclude them.

signal iduna park - Dortmund's stadium, mainly for the yellow wall which to me is mind blowing

emirates stadium - arsenal's stadium

estadio de luz - benfica's ground, CL 2014 final venue

would nominate villa park or ibrox for the old school stadiums with amazing brickwork, but dont think people would appreciate them :(

when do we get to start discussing them / telling other people they're wrong :horse:

My doubts:

-Can we nominate stadiums that are not finished yet? I assume that at least it needs to being currently built, because 4 years is too short to build and entire new project.

-There are countries in the UEFA that don't exactly belongs with Europe (Azarbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc.). are they able to be nominated?

-How you do run the competetion? Just voting one stadium in each confrontation?

I don't know the answer to the middle question, but I don't think stadiums should be included if they aren't finished yet, they would be kinda stupid imo. And the voting will be done like all the 1v1's on SSC XL (Click on the banner at the top of the page).

My nominations:

I'll pick ones that no-one has mentioned yet.

RB Arena, Leipzig

Arena Lviv, Lviv

Rheinenergie Stadion, Koln

There are official candidates that are not yet finished. In Spain, for example Bilbao's San Mamés and Madrid's La Peineta. Probably there's more in other countries.
