Not a big fan of this tbh, complete lack of symmetry in the design (window positioning) makes it look a bit of a mess. Reminds me of this building

But this site has been vacant for a long time, so it is good to see something get built. And it includes ground floor retail, which is a bonus

Infinitely better!

Genuinely a nice looking buildings, brick cladding, a courtyard with open public space and a decent bit of height. What's not to like?

Prefer it without the tower.

Definitely improved at street level.

The tower is arguably the best bit

It gives it some presence and variation in height. It also acts as a gateway for the area and breaks up what would otherwise be a big, fat, square one-level building

Is it me, or is there also more interactivity at street level. More ground level front doors which open out into the streets? Looks very smart indeed - just shows how a few small tweaks, make all the difference

Went past this on the tram today. Anyone know when construction is likely to start? Would be nice to get this going. Would mean there would be a near-continuous set of construction projects, from Vantage through to Queens Road (where the Network Rail PRS block is underway).

Went past today and noticed something some new equipment and people in high vis jackets on site.

Their van was labelled 'geotechnics', but I havn't a clue what they were doing. Perhaps soil testing?
