Interesting!
Brick is very much the cladding of the age, is seems, which is a welcome change. There are one or two things that don't feel quite right with this though:
There's almost too much brick here - it kind of has the feel of a prison about it. Could have done with a different style somewhere to break it. Also I'm not crazy about those boxes on top, and the groundfloor units don't look anywhere near as good as the ones at Summer Leys, particularly that totally blank corner.
I'm being picky of course, and it's a substantial proposal for an unloved area of the city - but as much as I'm enjoying this higher quality, brick led revolution I don't get that fuzzy feeling that I did on seeing the new Summer Leys designs. Looks a budget version to me.
