It's been awhile since I've posted photos of the city, so I'll open this thread that I'll try to update from time to time with photos of the city, be it the overexposed parts or some rarely seen on SSC.

Let me start with the Metlife sign, from the southside

eeerrr.....nice blue sky? :)

Haha, just playing! Can't wait to see more pictures. Never been to NYC. Hopefully I get to, some time some day. :( But seriously, nice blue sky. Been cloudy for the past 3 days down here in Tampa.
What type of Camera are you going to be using with these shots 3t? Let us know!

some photos around Lincoln center from a few weeks ago

this is my favorite, as I was going through the pictures, this one didn't strike me as being anything special, until I zoomed into it... can you see the guy hanging out the window trying to wash it?

let's see this a little closer

Nice is that 2nd to last pic by the midtown tunnel?
^^nah, I don't remember what building that is, but all the photos I made were around the Lincoln center in the uws, not in midtown.

I use a panasonic tz5, it has a great 10x zoom, but it's compact and easy to use.
That way I can easily carry it around for everyday photos without complaining that it's a pesky camera to put in my pocket when I'm out, and yet I'll still be able to photograph bigger stuff without complaining that the camera is too weak.
I personally have never seen the Chrysler building spire so close before

an older photo of a catholic church on lexington avenue, with the building behind, I've always thought it doesn't look like New York at all

Riverdale, Bronx

and from last week at 3 in the morning, the sky was crystal clear over New York City. Of course, it might be a regular occurrence, I don't know about you folks, but I rarely look up.

New York City
one half in Inwood and the other in Spuyten Duyvil.

I posted the ones of the railroad as a whole package of what I've got.
Dude..........Irvington in Westchester has this penominal view of the Tap to the north, the Hudson at your feet, Palisades all around you, and the Manhattan Skyline terimnating the river from view all the way to the south. That is certainly an underrated Bridge.
Congrats for visiting the ESB deck
