It's in the underway section,

I've left the library in the potential section as I don't think work has begun yet? Not sure if anyone's even been appointed?

University of Birmingham also has a major campus works programme involving other projects such as new student accommodation fronting SONR and refurbishment of facilities so worthy of a note in potential

Preparatory work has begun on the library, they're demolishing a space next to the building site to provide access and so on.

Meanwhile, the Birmingham Post has some encouraging articles this morning:

What an odd design. I take it that it's a refurb of the existing building? Space filler I guess.

Great summary Sefton.
Did I miss it or did you leave out Curzon Street station in the "then we have" section?
.....and in the same vein I thought we had an HS2 thread but can't find it, anyone point me in the right direction?

Yeah. It seems that they just want to do something on the site. The original scheme was pretty massive. Maybe the will submit applications for various parts of the site as they own a lot more than just this building.

Further Park Central plans set for approval
Last updated: 2nd May 2014 at 07:52am
Keyword tags: Birmingham City Council, Crest Nicholson, Lee Bank Estate, Optima Community Association

Plans are set to be approved for further residential development on the former Lee Bank Estate in Birmingham.
An application for 31 properties comprising 24 one- and two-bed apartments and seven three-bed houses has been recommended for approval ahead of a Birmingham City Council planning meeting next week.
The dwellings would be built on Spring Street on one of the two remaining cleared parcels of land within the Park Central regeneration scheme.
The project is being undertaken as part of a joint venture between Crest Nicholson, the council and Optima Community Association.
A report to be considered by councillors said: "This development is considered to accord with the original outline planning consent granted for the redevelopment of the former Lee Bank estate." It added the plans would create a "high-quality environment".
The housing-led regeneration of the former Lee Bank Estate has been ongoing for more than a decade. The area was once declared "Europe's biggest slum". Crest Nicholson has invested about £250m in the transformation.
The meeting to decide whether to approve the latest plans will take place on 8 May 2014.

To be honest. Brum is in a position to get rid of all those blocks which have helped us garner a reputation as a concrete city despite looking good from a distance.
