#5 with a bullet and the only place "Not to Visit" in North America. Something to be proud of I'd say!
WTF

OKC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anywhere in Kansas or Nebraska
I don't know about the rest of Kansas, but I like Manhattan... I had a good time there a few weeks ago.
 I actually thought OKC should be listed.
Right after Chernobyl.

I guess that qualifies every Okie as a brave frontiersmen for not all getting swept up by tornadoes. I sure felt endangered last night..

So, you treat your people as slaves then? :uh: I refuse to visit. :eek:hno:
Did they remove it? You said it was right after Chernobyl. Chernobyl says "Up next: Corruption", but for me it jumps to Oppression.
Guess so lol. Weird. I wonder what pressured them to take it off lmao.

But OKC is the World's #2 most extreme weather destination in a different poll by the same people. #1 goes to Antarctica. Damn Antarcticans, stealing our thunder..

I heard they had to remove due to the level of exaggeration and complaints. How can you put a U.S. city anywhere near somewhere like Baghdad?
Um....I dont see OKC in that list :dunno:
I was wondering the same thing lol.

What was the original reason for OKC being on that list anyway? A city likely to get an NBA team in the next couple years doesn't seem to belong on this list imo.

Well, rumor is, is that it was an attack from a Pro-Seattle extremist

But no really, some are thinking it's retaliation about the Sonics situation, but who knows?
does not surprise me, went there once, couldn't wait to leave.
Dallasbrink, please share your experience. Weather wise it pretty much gets the same weather as DFW.
Solitude. A member of OKCTALK called AOL about it and here is the response.

Thank you for your phone call regarding the content provided to us through askmen.com. Our AOL editorial team looked at the material and were unanimous in their agreement that inclusion of Oklahoma City in that kind of negative list was wholly unfair and poor quality journalism. We have since edited/modified the list online and plan to monitor our content relationship with askmen.com in a more careful manner. Our apologies for the inappropriate nature of the listing for Oklahoma City. FYI, one of the AOL VPs was in Oklahoma City this past December and was appalled at the description of your city by the askmen writer. Mr. Werther described Oklahoma City as a dynamic city that rivals many that we're familiar with here on the East Coast. He told me to feel free to include his feelings in any responses to this unfortunate incident. Thank you again for taking the time to contact AOL.

Cordially,

So AOL did take it off. I'm glad they stepped up and knew that was wrong. And no the article was written by a guy that currently lives in Spain.

I can see how someone from Amarillo would have problems with OKC.

haha. That would be funny I'm not gonna lie. I'm glad that it was sorted out though and wasn't someone from here.

I still wonder what their motive was for including OKC. Was it supposed to be a joke? Does his ex wife live there? I don't get it lol.
