First Beirut Airport, Bir Hassan, 1938

Old Beirut Airport under construction by the engineers Ibrahim and Fayez El-Ahdab. It was located in Bir Hassan facing the land that became later the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium. The terminal remained there until it got destroyed by the Israeli air raids on the Stadium, on June 4, 1982Courtesy of Wassim Chemaitelli http://wassch71.tripod.com/cedraile160.html
