Expect that the scheme has stalled and a loss of exhibition space, providing you look pass that.
That loss is Olympia's gain, however realistically. With Excel and other venues far more attractive for large-scale events, having EC and Olympia so close together and both underinvested in, didn't make much sense. Hopefully Olympia can thrive again and these plans suggest it will. :cheers:

I grew up in the neighbourhood and used to past this often. I utterly assumed it was concrete painted white. Why would you paint stone?
Because it's cheaper than cleaning it i assume? Look through any neighbourhood with say Victorian homes and you see painted stonework.
Hopefully it can be restored to it's former glory which I'm thinking is Portland Stone?
