Would Singaporeans support and wave at China or would they jeer at them? The issue on China is very divided.

Frankly i don't see what the big fuss is. Think about it. Technically, the torch also bypassed thousands of other cities...

i thought it was a pity. considering how this was a special moment for Chinese people around the world.

Is it much chinese immiagant in Singapore?

singapore is 74% chinese. or thereabouts. we are the farthest chinese majority city from china.

Most of us are 3rd or 4th generation China chinese I believe.

Apart from China (and Taiwan), Singapore is the third political entity in the world with a Chinese majority.

However, the Chinese-ness of Chinese-Singaporeans is like light reflected off a crystal, always changing depending on how you look at it, and is subject to individual interpretation and sentiment.
