looks ok, nothing too spectacular though
sports city is on its way forward as it seems, last week the launch of the westgate towers

i will add only 1 tower to emporis because i think due to the skybridge it's 1 structure. will check that

where is it taken from? gulfnews?
ok it's a 2-building complex
they even don't have a shared base
i really wish to have access to the site, it's too large and no chance to see anything at all.
when you drive along emirates road you can see loads of trucks and everything, but nothing serious happened so far
i have asked wutzke how to handle the dubailand zone
as we have sub projects of sub projects we will enable the supercomplex option on emporis

which means
zone = dubailand
supercomplex = city of arabia
complex = elite towers

or zone = dubailand
supercomplex = dubai sports city
complex = westgate apartments

this means the zone dubailand will be divided into several supercomplexes which will represent the megaprojects within dubailand!

wutzke has sent me a confirmation he has already enabled this option, but as you can see the building edit tool doesn't list the supercomplex option. i've sent him an email again that it doesn't work yet. no reply from him so far.

daniel is working on the districts and boroughs. takes time

dennis, you have added this to Dubai Land, does that mean we will incorporate all Sports city buildings into Dubai land ? Id prefer to create a new zone for Sports city as there will be many towers there as well. but then sports city is in Dubai land?
check the homepage

they also have nice other projects yet to be annunced
the exact location of rufi twin towers

believe it or not, somebody of rufi real estate has been accepted as an emporis member
i've contacted him for more details of this and other rufi projects

wish me luck!
well, what do you expect from this building
it's a normal residential tower built for purpose, not to amuse anybody

dubai has great designs, which could be described as amusing

Staff Report

Dubai :
A Pakistan-based property developer has announced a Dh250 million twin tower apartment complex in the Dubai Sports City, part of the government's Dubailand leisure and tourism project.

The 15-floor Rufi Twin Towers is the first of three building projects in Dubai announced by Karachi headquartered Rufi Real Estate Group, company representatives told a press conference here.

The group has already sold 200 of the 450 apartments in the towers to buyers from Pakistan and the Gulf region, said Manzoor Ahmad Rufi, president of the group.

The other two projects are an office tower and a high-rise apartment building. The group's investment in all three projects will top Dh650 million, he said.

Prices of the apartments in the twin towers range from Dh259,000 for a studio to Dh900,000 for three bedrooms, said Rameez Rufi, executive vice-president of the group.

The building designers are Arenco, Dubai based real-estate consultants and contractors.

The Rufi Group has 30 years of experience in real estate development in Pakistan, the United States and Canada.

"This is our first venture in Dubai and the Middle East. We will continue to explore further investments in the property market here," said Rameez Rufi.
