Project: Ondjiva 3000
City of Ondjiva, Province of Cunene
Ondjiva 3000 is a comprehensive community developed with the forward thinking leadership from the city and the provincial government of Ondjiva and Cunene leaders and with the full support of the Republic of Angola.
This entire project is private through Tricom Global, LLC and Auto Ondjiva, LDA invited by the government to build Ondjiva 3000. The project has been approved by the president of the country and the governor of the province. The land was furnished for the project by the government of the province.
The first part of Ondjiva 3000 will build 5,500 single-family homes, 4 primary schools, 2 secondary schools, 2 health clinics, 2 police stations with attached fire stations and 4 retail commercial centers. In addition, there will be 8 civic centers, a convention center and a technical school.
Ondjiva 3000 will focus on creating a variety of complete neighborhoods that will house a total of 5,500 families. Each major subdivision has been designed to include a police station with attached fire station.
In addition to the housing and government buildings, Tricom Global, LLC and Auto Ondjiva, LDA will build infrastructure (roads: gravel-based asphalt cement paving with four lane boulevards and two-lane streets, water treatment plants, sewers and electrical grade and garbage disposal plant) to support each neighborhood.
The land on which the city will be constructed is a series of islands surrounding a lake. The design will connect each of the islands with bridges and expand the lake for recreation and water conservation. Each island will be a separate community within a community.
The project will consist of seven phases. Phase 1 will consist of building affordable residences, 1,000 single-family homes and infrastructure. Phase 2 will include the building of appropriate governmental structures to support the new population. Phase 3 will incorporate the building of the Civic Center, including 88 hotel rooms, 2 suites, a restaurant, a business center and retail stores. Phases 4 through 7 will reproduce the first phases with efficiency while maintaining the quality of construction.
Tricom Global, LLC and Auto Ondjiva, LDA have many construction partners that are American and Angolan companies with a shared commitment to excellence in construction and education of the workforce. Through the use of our proprietary construction techniques we can build more houses in a shorter period of time. These houses are built with modern technology and materials that can withstand the climate in Africa including resistance to heavy winds and earthquakes. Our building methods incorporate style and function.
The city will include an industrial area in which the technical school along with a factory for the pre-fabrication of the materials necessary for the building of homes, government building, playgrounds, and recreation areas will be housed
The partners will reinvest in the community by employing local workers and teaching them the necessary skills to participate in the construction industry. Our reinvestment program will include the education of the workforce in areas of carpentry, electrical and missionary work. In addition to technical school will teach. A reading of architectural drawing, scheduling of work, leadership of workers and other essential skills related to the construction industry.
The goal is to build affordable housing at a speed greater than our competitors, and at a level of quality higher than the average standard. The city will be serviced by an appropriate and modern infrastructure for the maintenance of good health and physical comfort.
All five companies involved in this project will use American master mechanics, architects, general contractors, equipment, supplies and vehicles. In short, this is an American project in the country of Angola.
