Hi all, I've been quite busy the last few weeks taking pics around town so now here they are. But first, just for fun I thought I'd throw in this little, rather flattering, introductory quote taken from Adventure Capitalist, a novel about a rich business man who spends a few years traveling the world. He went to Vancouver towards the end of his trip which makes me appreciate this quote all the more. He visited Vancouver in December of 2001 (FYI: it has 2.3 million people now).

Vancouver, which has fewer than two million people in its metropolitan area (and which is not located on Vancouver Island), is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Its physical setting is spectacular, with magnificent mountains running down to the sea and an array of public parks beautifully preserved. It offers all that the U.S. Pacific Northwest offers and more. It is a dynamic, prosperous city, in large part because of its status as a modern melting pot, a gateway to and from Asia. Canada actively seeks and encourages immigration as the United States once did. Large numbers of Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Europeans, Iranians, and others have made the city their home. It reminds me of what New York must have been like at the turn of the twentieth century. In a hundred years, maybe a couple of hundred, unless somebody does something really stupid, Vancouver, one of the great cities of North America, will have become one of the great cities of the world. - Jim Rogers
And here are the pics. Afterwards, let me know if you agree at all with Jim Rogers. ;) They were all taken around the downtown peninsula. The more nature-oriented ones were taken in Stanley Park, Vancouver’s premier downtown park.

OMG!!!

Stellar pictures, Raggedy!!! And the title is not an exaggeration.. Vancouver is one of the great cities of North America!!!
Having visited Vancouver myself, it certainly has the most beautiful setting of any city in North America in my opinion. It is what Rio is to South America!
