Mass housing developer 8990 Holdings has tapped construction and engineering firm Megawide Construction Corp. to build 39 mid-rise residential condominium towers with an estimated sales value of P53 billion.

The residential towers form part of two mixed-used estate projects of 8990 Holdings: one in Tondo, Manila and another on Ortigas Avenue Extension, making available by 2020 around 40,000 “affordable” residential units, each priced at below P1.5 million, 8990 Holdings president Januario Jesus Atencio said in a briefing on Monday.

Megawide bags P14-B condo project

Engineering and infrastructure company Megawide Construction Corporation (Megawide) has bagged the deal for the construction of the P14-billion Urban Deca Homes Ortigas of mass housing developer 8990 Holdings, Inc.

“We’re very excited to once again be working with 8990. Through this project, we are able to provide quality engineering and construction at an affordable price,” said Megawide President Edgar Saavedra.

Located along Ortigas Extension, Pasig City, the 13-hectare development will feature 24 residential buildings with a total of 18,993 units and a mall.
