Pašilaičiai/Pasilaiciai district.

Territory of Pašilaičių district - 8,2 square km;
Population - 28 thousands.

Pašilaičiai district is one of many sleeping districts in Vilnius. First construction works began back in 1986, when soviet's left Lithuania this district was still unfinished with a lot of empty space, now almost all empty space is filled with new development.

So let's start ;)

Thanks a lot. Kinda a lot of such threads were made recently :)

I think I'll need to make a small trip around the nearby district of Justiniškės, where I live :)

Thanks for this tour, Geex. Great to see some pictures from outside the city centre and all those shiny touristy areas.

It's also nice to see Pasilaiciai getting some colour, it was all grey just recently.

Some of the new developments are completely horrendeous though, like this one:

Who on earth would approve such a monster? This building is a disaster, demolish it right now!

Other developments are quite nice though. I like those new houses on the right. Vilnius needs more of them:

Thanks. Cool district, Vilnius is full of surprises. It`s cool to see that gritty areas will become more and more exclusive.

Well maybe not so fast, but pretty fast. A lot of empty space was "destroyed" during last few years. ;)

Urbanity rulz! :)
