Ive been lucky enough to visit many places in England over the last few years so thought I would start a thread on another of Englands architectural treasures. There are far to many spread throughout the land to even contemplate of visiting them all but this thread should at least give a good taster of some of the historic and beautiful houses in England
Might as well start with one of the big ones...
Castle Howard, not actually a castle but one of the largest and grandest of all Englands stately homes. Designed by Sir John Vanbrugh. Famously used as the setting for Brideshead Revisited and numerous other films and TV shows it is also one of the finest examples of baroque architecture in England

The house is set within a massive estate with a fine example of an Englsh Landscape garden. It is dotted with numerous scupltures and small buildings such as the Temple of the Four Winds
