Very nice !

How many metro stations in Paris have these gates between the platform and the trains ?

I can see the safety benefits and all, especially during rush hour at crowded stations, but I still don't like them very much. In Lille, late at night, on a very narrow platform it felt kind of claustrophobic and like I had nowhere to go if one of the seedy characters hanging around decided to jump me. :)

You were next to the Opéra Garnier and you didn't take a picture of it!!! Shame on you :)

Apparemment, ils ont mis de nouveaux écrans sur les quais du RER B à gare du Nord. Je ne suis pas sûr qu'ils restent longtemps en bon état...

HEHE. Minatu ku does not photograph monuments! He captures the real Paris...le Paris profond...le Paris qui travaille :)

You know, this thread reminds me so much of Paris. Not only is Paris unique on the surface but its also uniquely Paris underground. Those turnstiles and exit doors...the ones that open automatically as you approach them and which indicated you're leaving the validity zone of your ticket, is so uniquely Paris. The Navigo ticket readers, the exit signs, the Correspondance signs...so uniquely Paris. Only the (unpleasant) odor is missing here...and well, the sounds of Paris underground.

^^ Of course it was only two deep tubular tunnels before. Using Tube methode they built a station.

Saint Michel Notre Dame was opened in 1988, but it badly date due at water infiltration. (This station is under the Seine river).

Looking forward to visiting your great city at some point. How are hotel prices there?

I'm not just interested in seeing the famous landmarks...I want to see the real city too and ride the Metro!
