They didn’t mention that it’s also a city full of interfering busybodies with nothing better to do than write letters of complaint to stall any new development.

We lead the world in old farts ;)

Park Central - Central docks

A £5bn regeneration scheme designed to create five new neighbourhoods on the River Mersey is picking up pace, with the second phase of the Central Docks neighbourhood set to launch.

Park Central will comprise 129 one- and two-bedroom apartments set across 13 storeys. All the units will be fully furnished, with the development's commercial, residential and leisure facilities forming a 24-hour community in the area.

It is effectively an island site that will have uninterrupted views of either the parkland or the canal riverway towards the city centre. Completion is expected by Q2 2020.

The development forms part of the Liverpool Waters regeneration project. Alongside the Central Docks neighbourhood will be Princes Dock, Clarence Docks, Northern Docks and King Edward Triangle, which together will create more than 9,000 residential apartments, as well as restaurants, bars and cafes.

Park Central is being launched by property investment company BuyAssociation with developer Romal Capital.

Caroline Marshall-Roberts, chief executive of BuyAssociation, said: "This is a really exciting project and we've already seen a huge amount of interest from investors from all over the UK and internationally.

"Liverpool is such a thriving and vibrant city, and it's now seen as one of the top places in the country for property investment, with fantastic rental yields and strong house price growth predictions. There has been a huge amount of investment in Liverpool over the past decade since it was named the European Capital of Culture, which has been amazing for the local economy, and this project is going to bring even more to the local area and really transform the waterfront."

Threads merged. :)

As this is in effect the other bit of Quay Central, do we think it would be better to have a unified thread for both, or keep them separate? Open to suggestions. :)
Personal opinion only butI'd keep them as separate threads as quay central (phase 1) will probably be finished construction whilst this phase will be ongoing for some time after.

Hello there piling rig:

This is now on site, as you can tell which is more great news. Can we get this moved over please Chris?:

Also, I imagine these crane pieces just to the left of the rig are to raise up the current crane, and we aren't getting a second crane here?
