Parkings guys and the guys protecting them united in order to hit this new infra.
Disgusting.
In front of the Wilaya the local gvt should clear this mess.
I saw the cost is about 6 Dh/h. If you work in the neighborhood and you want to use that parking, you'll end up easily with 1500 Dh/month.
Nobody will accept such salary pay cut.

6Dh/h it's about 10 euros a day. Even by European standards it's expensive.

Probably they will propose such an offer.
But I am sure that even with an offer there will be a mess around.

I complain about people who occasionnaly use the parking for one or 2 hours; they prefer to park illegaly and fuel the parking guys mafia organization instead of using the underground parking. Just in order to save one or two DH...

Despite all these shortcomings it is nice to see the development of mobility projects in many cities.
Rabat for instance counts several underground parkings:

Operational:
-Hay Ryad
-Mamounia
-Pl Pietri

U/C:
-Rabat ville station
-Rabat city center (Agdal / Pl Bourgogne)
-Bab el had (?)
-New Agdal train station (?)

Planned:
-Agdal (Badr mosque)

Oui, c'est clair que les parkings sous-terrains vont décongestionner la surface...mais en même temps, c'est comme si on fait une croix définitive sur un potentiel futur metro/RER à Casablanca ou à Rabat (même à long terme)... on privilégie la voiture au détriment des autres moyens de transport, car mine de rien, on aurait toujours pu rêver de voir un métro/RER à Casablanca à l'horizon 2040 et à Rabat l'horizon 2060, et transformer la surface en espaces verts et pistes cyclables.

A Toulouse, le métro a coûté plus cher que dans les autres villes françaises, car la ville est truffée de parkings sous-terrains, il a fallu creuser encore plus profond pour faire passer les rames de métro.

Of course there will be a mess around. The solution should be more global than a simple underground parking.

- How come an anonymous fake guard has such power on a full street and in front of the authority?
- How come he's exercising that power 24hr a day, 7 days a week?
- Who granted him such power?

à Rabat, actuellement deux sont en cours de construction

1- Celui attenant au théâtre M.V, quasi-achevé

2-Bab El Had, ils y travaillent quotidiennement

On peut ajouter bien sûr ceux des deux gares (Rabat ville est bien avancé) et celui de Arribat center (énorme)

I think they need another one in Hay Ryad, but where?
You can barely find any empty land around Av Annakhil. I think they should destroy this square with the statue and dig maybe 2 or 3 levels underground.

Sous les nouveaux espaces bureaux de Mahaj il y'a un parking de 400 places je pense.

SInon oui effectivement, une extension du Parking actuel (en creusant à la phase une de Mahaj) serait une bonne idée à mon avis aussi.
