The town of New Castle can be fun to walk around in. There are several little streets, alleys, and paths hidden throughout the city that make exploring the town interesting. Below are pictures of those little places. All streets and paths are no more than one block long. Official city streets are bolded, and additional information on streets is italicized.

I gotta say...some of these "alleys" kind of just look like sideyards for people's houses.

I gotta say...some of these "alleys" kind of just look like sideyards for people's houses.
That's what makes these little roads interesting. They are leftover pathways from colonial times when walking was the primary mode of transportation. Not many cities in the United States have streets like these because the cities are not old enough or they expanded roads to make way for carriages, trolleys, and cars.
