So many countries and cities over the world make their own "Happy video". Here are a few which I greatly enjoyed watching.

Pharrell's 'Happy' fever hits Cape Town

Cape Town has joined the 'Happy' trend. Filmmakers have produced a video with Capetonian extras dancing to the hit single by Pharrell Williams.

The American singer made the world’s first 24-hour music video with the song.

The single is the first single from Williams’ album G.I.R.L. and is also on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack.

The single, according to Billboard, “became the first single for 57 years to start a third separate run at No. 1.”

It also “sold its millionth copy in the territory last week, making Williams only the second artist after the Beatles to appear on three UK million-sellers inside 12 months”.

South African filmmakers Shamiel Soni and Tannan Woods directed the video which has since received over 65,000 views on Youtube since March 24. It follows the same format as the Williams’ video with extras walking and dancing to the song.

The Cape Town version includes people dancing in various locations all over Cape Town, both well-known as well as areas on the Cape flats, and a township. It was hailed on Twitter as being fair and representative of all of Cape Town.

Dylan Valley (@broslovo) said it “Feels like it was directed by someone who actually 'gets'Cape Town. Didn't show same ol stereotypes”

I wonder why there is no video in Luanda....it is impossible that nobody knows the video there..even the small town where I live have recently made a song

Happy: 'We are from Maputo'
Tal como várias capitais mundiais, Maputo também quis registar a sua felicidade, especialmente no Dia Internacional da Dança. Veja os rostos que fazem Moçambique 'happy'.

Well done, Maputo!

Although Luanda aspires to be such a "fast-paced, trendy, modern and upcoming" city, there is still not a single Happy video from that place!:mad2:
Why would we?
Why would we?
Skytrax, where do you live? On the moon?:)

The entire world does....Dakar, Nairobi, Bamako, Lagos, Kinshasa (has 4 videos online), Abidjan, Brazzaville, Libreville, Accra (has several), Morocco, South africa, Mocambique, Tunis, Cabo Verde...South America is full of these videos, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia is full of these videos the Gulf Arab States ...and you still ask why? Even the small town were I live have produced such a video...companies, universities, cafés etc..all have theirs already...but in a country that defines itself to be so at the pulse of time like Angola, there is only one video made by small pupils in Lobito...not a single one for Luanda. This is unbelievable.

In Africa there are no (professional) "Happy" - videos produced in countries such as Central African Republic, Guinea Bissau.....and yes, Angola!

Well, then be proud of it and cheerfully enjoy your "uniqueness" alongside other truly "unique" countries such as Guinea Bissau and Central African Republic.

You are so funny. All that because of a music video?
