Too bad does not have seats everywhere.
exactly because german stadiums also do not have an we decided to follow the example

(maybe because Grêmio is a team with a strong connection to Germany...

founded mostly by germans (check the name of Gremio players in the first Grêmio vs Inter match in 1909)

Booth, Schröeder, Grünewald, Carls, Black, Deppermann, Becker, Califels.

current Grêmio squad has some german origin players too (many are a mix of italians and germans, however, which is very common in Rio Grande do Sul state)

Douglas Grolli

Marcelo Grohe

Gabriel Rybar Blos

Matheus Simonete Bressaneli

Ramiro Moschen Benetti

Lucas Heinzen Coelho

Jakson Ragnar Follmann

No more avalanche after the accident. Now there are barriers in place to prevent it.
just like in Germany stadiums. STILL, even without avalanche, there are fans that demand no seating places (like those from Germany, and we know many english fans would like a return of terraces too)

I am one of very many English fans campaigning to have standing areas brought back. Whilst the government and league don't want it there are a growing number if clubs who are supporting the campaign.

Does the 60,540 capacity including the standing area? If so, whats the capacity when its all seater?
Actually the capacity must be a little more than 59000 with standing area and next to 56000 with all seater.

I can't answer you exactly because exists some divergence about total seats quantity, but is almost it.

Really a shame that this stadium was not selected as a venue for the World Cup! The stands are very close to the pitch. The Beira Rio has stands that are really far from the pitch and you need binoculars. :eek:hno:

^^ TOTALLY not a World Cup-caliber venue :|

I know the author of the photos of other social networks. interestingly, he was one of gremistas who fell in the moat of the stadium collapsed in the fence at the beginning of last year. even though he acknowledges that gremista Beira Rio stadium is more appropriate than the arena to host the World Cup. and is not the only gremista I know and think so.

"Os torcedores ficaram feridos são Patrícia Bisson, Mariele dos Santos, Felipe Vargas Albuquerque, Camila Espiazi, Diana Finckler, Valdeir Escobar, Gilvan Dias, Michel Diestmann."

and do not get me wrong. gilvan days worships gremio arena . he just thinks the Beira Rio more ready to receive the event.

and we are a few months Cup, you still have not given up the campaign to bring the the world cup to arena ?
