Just gotta love the fact that Australia is playing Port Allegre, Curitiba and Cuiaba:lol:

Our coach has already said we'll play in a car park if we have to-but then that would have to be ready:runaway:
Haha, yeah i just noticed that too..they say bad things come in 3's.
With the way we've been playing lately a carpark might even things up a bit, might reduce the incidence of diving :lol:

there is not possibility of POA lose the world cup. it is political speech to pass a bylaw exemptions.
It's just incredible that these things can still happen during this time-frame. Several deadlines have already been past. Sleazy politics at the back of this event, :cripes: it's another disgrace...

The temporary structures will be ready. The only question is whether the private sector will build in exchange for tax exemptions or the wrath fifa afford the costs and then charge the owner of the stadium.

So if it does not pass then FIFA will just build the structures out of the Federation's own account but then charge which ever entity owns the stadium? That doesn't seem morally right.

had been signed a contract saying that the club should bear the costs. internacional President claims that the value set by FIFA for the purchase of generators, X-ray machines, fences, etc. (approximately 15 or 20 million dollars) is very expensive. the solution was replacing the interim structures for advertising. the Town would offer, if approved the project, tax breaks to companies that patrocinassem these structures.
rumors that the project should be approved with modifications.

The report said that Porto Alegre's participation in the upcoming FIFA WC is being held up over alack of some "temporary structures" within the Jose Pinheiro Borda stadium. What kind of "temporary structures" would the stadium possibly need for the FIFA WC?

Temporary structures are containers, tents, X-ray machines, air conditioning, etc.
the club offered, for example, the structures of the stores that are on the facade of the stadium to replace the tents;
* FIFA not accepted, probably because she has prior agreement with their sponsors

the law that provides tax breaks for companies that finance the temporary structures was approved with the caveat that all expenses should be disclosed on the web

Will the temporary structures get built? Is this just a bluff to get finance? I am visiting for two weeks and have tickets to two games at this stadium.

paving of 52,000 meters surrounding the stadium will start to be made 24 days and will be ended 60 days later. the part where the temporary structures will be completed, before ..
currently sidewalks, lighting and felling of some leased buildings around the stadium where they will be part of these structures are being made (the gas station that appears in the picture was shot down yesterday)
