And I looove modern architecture of Lisboa. It gives us good example how our Split could look like in the next couple of years (if we are smart enough not to spoil the potential we have).

"Festas da Agonia", maybe the biggest celebrations in Portugal.

During the 5 days of the celebration the girls show all their gold, there are a procession of dozens of boats in the river in homage to the Patron saint of the fishermans and many other actions.

How distinct is the language spoken on the Azores from the standard Portuguese language? These are pretty far away.

They have many rain, but a lot of sun too. In fact the temperatures in Açores rarely go down of 12/13ºC in winter and up 27/28ºC in summer.

The language is exactly the same it is in mainland, but with different pronunciation. But we have a lot of pronunciations or dialects in our language as you can see here.

Ponte da Ajuda, Elvas

Ajuda bridge was constructed to connect the 2 Portuguese cities of Elvas and Olivença. Spanish army constantly destroyed it in way to isolate Olivença city from the rest of the Portuguese territory.

In 1994 Spanish government try to made an threat with Portugal to build a new bridge connecting the 2 cities. Portugal refuse it, as that would be a recognize of Spanish soberanity over Olivença territory and is patrimony.

In 2000 was made this new bridge completly build and financed by Portugal in way to show our control over the region and deny Spain soberanity.
