Toronto had been a major movie production centre for American films back a few years ago when the Canadian Dollar was a bargain. The Americans took advantage of the cheap labour across the border and used Toronto scenes as a substitute for New York. However, the US Dollar has substantially fallen since then, eroding that foreign exchange advantage.
