Go on, be creative, go nuts - what do you want to see proposed for the site?

probably just the usual: no overshadowing Yarra etc, 250m? big. yes! :)
I actually want them to leave the park. So a tower shaped like the remaining space. It could overhang or something.
I think anything ~150m + would be a great asset in that position. Ideally you want a big mutha because it is the perfect spot, but I think a well designed 150m tower would fit in great. I also think that a design incorporating the park, or at least reconfiguring to keep some type of park or square would be good.

Would have to be a pretty small tower to fit in there, what's so good about the park anyway?

Anyway, since the CBD is running out of sites for big landmark towers, this site HAS to be used to it's full potential.

A right on the dot 250m height limit landmark tower (preferably office/hotel/mixed use) WITHOUT a spire thank you very much! Melbourne is in danger of getting obsessively attached to spires...

If that means waiting 10 years for it to become feasible, so be it, leave it as it is for the moment. Would be a big shame is a campus style shocker was built on it!

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: Shit! There goes me dinner!

Let's leave that proposal as it is - a proposal, and a rather poor one at that. I will provide the trash can if they wish, free of charge!

Such a waste of a site if that was to be built.

That's a goog-looking, functional building that won't be outdated anytime soon. Every building doesn't have to have crazy curves, masts and spires.

Ah, you just reminded me, one thing Melb truly lacks is a building with crazy curves. :p

I'll even be happy with something like Aurora. See, I ain't that picky. ;)

Oh wait, Aurora has a spire, modify the design so it looks good without a spire. lol

theres really too many things you could put there !!!!
Just as long as it's none of those ones ;)
Consolidation of all the surrounding sites to make it a big block - then we could put a big mutha on it. But it ain't happening, so WTF!
The site is consolidated! All of the buildings are car parks in the picture, including the land on the other side of the laneway are all under one ownership :)
Church Place Please ! Its Slender, Simple, Elegant , Grand and 300 metres of course ! hehe !

It's great to speculate but who actually owns this site? What are the plans if any and are there laws relating to the timing of development within the CBD?
I agree that the site is prime for a tall but hopefully one that will become a landmark due to it's sculptural design. Here's hoping anyway.
By the way, even a needle exchange is a healthier option than any Krispy Kreme!
