Dh600m seafront community in Fujairah

Dubai-based Mina Al Fajer Real Estate yesterday said it will build a seafront community in the Hajar Mountains in Fujairah for Dh600 million.

The Mina Al Fajer Resort will cover 777,025 square feet and contain a 200-room fivestar hotel managed by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

The resort will have a marina, 48 mountain villas, 13 solarium villas, and 80 marina apartments.

“The enabling contracts will be awarded this month, while the escalation work will begin in June. We expect to complete the project by the end of 2009,” said Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director of Development and Investment in the private office of Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and managing director of Mina Al Fajer Real Estate.

“It has been designed in such a way that all the units will have a marina view.

“We plan to build the units in an eco-friendly manner,” Al Awar said.

“The Fairmont brand name will be able to link and tap clients to Fujairah. The emirate is the most beautiful one and has more pleasant weather than the others.” French architect Xavier Bole will design the resort, while Lebanese consulting firm Erga Progress will supervise construction and implementation. Apartments are priced from Dh1.7 million to Dh3.3m, while the villas will be sold for Dh4.5m to Dh9.5m.

The company has tied up with National Bank of Abu Dhabi to provide 90 per cent finance and is primarily targeting UAE and Gulf nationals in the region.

Mina Al Fajer is looking to launch more projects in the UAE, mainly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

“We also plan to expand our reach across the Middle East, Europe and the Indian Subcontinent,” Al Awar said.

Great! I just wish more of the projects planned in Fujairah are actually in the city.
Investments ????

I have invested in Dubai would you suggest its worth investing here or RAK ?
Invest in Fujairah. Fujairah is becoming an increasingly popular tourism destination, especially after Le Meridien Al Aqah opened a few years ago. Many hotels are popping up now, with big names like Rotana, which opened 2 months ago, and many others scheduled to open this year. There aren't any similar projects in the UAE with beautiful scenery and the Mountains, which makes it unique, unlike all the island projects. Although this is a great project, I think you should wait and see other projects in Fujairah, like the Wurayah Valley.

How many more of these sea-view, marina-like, apartment/villa/hotel projects can economically be sustained? Ok, some people like beaches, but there is more in life, and there is plenty of beach-vacations on the market. May be it is just me.....let's step in, ride the wave, make a profit, etc.....till......

"The selection of TME comes shortly after the launch of the project, which underscores the commitment of Mina Al Fajer to complete the project on time by the end of 2009," it said.

Ahmad Ali Khalfan Al Daheri, vice-chairman, Mina Al Fajer Real Estate, and Nik Abdullah Kamel, regional manager of TME, signed the deal on behalf of their companies. Erga Progress is the project's consultant.

Construction for the Mina Al Fajer Resort will start before the end of the month and is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.

Mina Al Fajer is a sea-front community that will include a marina, 48 mountain villas, 13 solarium villas, and 80 marina apartments, in addition to a 200-room five-star hotel that will be managed by the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

Abdul Rahman Al Awar, managing director of Mina Al Fajer Real Estate and director of Development and Investment in the private office of Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said the marina was an important aspect of the entire Mina Al Fajer resort and that it was critical to have a partner that had the expertise to complete the project on time.

"The marina at Mina Al Fajer Resort is one of the main attractions of the entire development, and so we have taken great care to select a company that will build it the way we envisioned it," Al Awar said.

Mina Al Fajer to showcase Fujairah resort at Cityscape

on Monday, May 12, 2008

Mina Al Fajer Real Estate said it will display its Dh800 million mixed-use Fujairah project Mina Al Fajer Resort at the Cityscape Abu Dhabi.

Abdulrahman Al Awar, Managing Director of Mina Al Fajer Real Estate, said investors from Abu Dhabi make up a large percentage of investors in the real estate sector in the UAE.

"And they have increasingly been looking at opportunities outside Dubai and Abu Dhabi where emerging developments, such as the Mina Al Fajer Resort, could provide better returns on investments," he added.

According to Al Awar, Cityscape Abu Dhabi is vital for the company "because it allows us to engage local and international investors. As Mina Al Fajer resort is expected to jumpstart the growth of tourism and real estate in Fujairah, we are happy to have this singular chance to meet them and share the investment opportunities we offer".

The company recently completed excavation works for the hotel and land reclamation of the marina apartments. It has also completed around 95 per cent of the construction work of marina. "We are two months ahead of schedule and this should enhance our reputation in the market as a company that delivers impeccable property projects within set timelines, without compromising on the quality of workmanship," he added.

Mina Al Fajer resort features a marina, 48 mountain villas, 13 solarium villas, and 80 marina apartments, in addition to a 200-room five-star hotel, that will be managed by the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
