Moved from the Copenhagen construction thread.

It seems that the new Natural History Museum will not start construction until next spring and will not be completed until spring 2021. What an incredibly slow proces.

Hmm, quite disappointing.. That's one project I really look forward to! Well, all good things comes to those who wait! Or something like that
And come it will :)

It may be, that it's gonna be a somewhat revised (less expensive) version, but I'm not a second i tvivl om, that it's gonna be one hell of a great new museum! No doubt about that!

The Natural History Museum will be adopted in Folketinget tomorrow. This approach is used to avoid further delays due to complains from citizens and additional costs. Expected completion in 2022.

Altså lige umiddelbart.. Nej nej nej.. Bedst som man lige troede at man havde noget virkelig kvalitet her.. Hmmm.. Me not umiddelbart like!

A detailed report in Uniavisen on how the museum was moved to the Vejdirektorate for project management.

They have apparently excavated 10m below ground, and have most contracts in place. However, the projected costs are a little tighter (the reserve is smaller) than Vejdirektoratet likes, and so they are figuring out if cost savings can be achieved. Vejdirektoratet swears the customer (KU) and the visitors will not see the changes if any changes are made. Vejdirektoratet says the building will be on time (2022) and on budget, but say they will not start real construction until the cost is in line.
