Beaudesert town centre bypass

Around lunchtime, Thursday 21 September 2017, the Beaudesert town centre bypass was opened to traffic.

Locals are not very impressed with the bypass. Many would prefer a much longer bypass to remove trucks from more of the town.

Trucks are increasingly frequenting Beaudesert due to the Bromelton Industrial area which has connections to rail freight..

The bypass uses a long marked alignment, there is a southern section following the south western edge of the town to meet with the Mt Lindesay Hwy in the NSW direction.
