Projektet omfattar nybyggnad av Platinan, en kontors- och affärsfastighet på 16 våningar med en BTA på 60 000 m². Den största lokalen blir en blackbox som ska rymma ca. 1 000 personer. Storleken möjliggör konferenser med många deltagare, utställningar och konserter.

Projektet uppförs i två etapper:

Etapp 1 började byggas i april 2017 och omfattar totalt 40 000 m² som ska stå klart vid årsskiftet 2020-2021. Hälften av utrymmet kommer att inrymma hotell medan kontor samt butiker upptar resterande ytor.

Etapp 2 omfattar resterande 20 000 m² med kontor och restauranger och påbörjas preliminärt under 2021. Detta planeras stå färdigt runt 2022-2023.

Platinan får 16 våningar ovan mark och 1-2 våningar under mark då detta uppförs som souterrängbyggnad. I souterrängplanen ska bl.a. parkeringsplatser och restauranger rymmas.



The high building to the right is regionens hus. So far only the crane is visable from the platina.

So if I'm not mistaken, the construction work taking place at the moment is indeed this 16 floor massive building?

Yes, that is correct. The work started is the south building, the building closer to the river will be built later (as stated in the thread start). There are some uncertainties when it comes to final height but that it will be a massive building is undisputed.

Awesome. Things are moving along quite fast around the central station. Regionens hus, the bridge, this and the overdecking of E45. This will be an interesting area.

Walked pass the area today, and yes the foundation is becoming real. A few months more and they should be able to start the actual construction of the building itself.

Since I spend ridiculous hours reading financial reports this time of year, I did notice that the first part seems to be slightly less m2 than I previously thought, instead of 40k it will be 35 500 m2. Still a pretty big build though! 54% of the space is as most of you probably know by now occupied by Scandic.

Is not the hotel in addition to the 35,500 m2? So the new total area will be 55,500 m2 in total?

You could say that, but as far as I know the hotel will be located in the first building, but in addition to that they do have the rights to develop another 20k later on(in a phase 2), so you are right about the total amount of floor space.

Nu bygger vi Platinan: 60 000 kvm hotell, kontor och event. Förutom fantastiska kontor kommer Platinan även att innehålla en restaurang, en takbar, en stor konferensanläggning och en välkomnande lobby och hotell. Redan nu är det klart att Scandic öppnar med 360 rum.

Wow, things have happened really fast around here. Atleast in comparison with other projects in this city. The new bridge, Platinan, Regionens Hus and the Gullbergstunneln. An exciting place, I'm glad I pass by it everyday.

I think I've finally understood how Vasakronan have divided the different stages of construction.

Phase 1. 40 000 m2 Hotel and offices. (or 35 500 according to Eagles N Butterflies, haven't found that number myself but he tends to have correct info). Consists of the lot currently being constructed. The hotel will occupy the first eight floors with office spaces above. Under construction.

Phase 2. 20 000 m2 Offices and commercial spaces. The part of the lot facing Hisingsbron will not start construction until 2020 when the bridge has been built.

Phase 3. Unknown m2 and usage. The lot closest to the river which I previously thought was considered Phase 2 is actually a different project branded "Cromet"
This to will see construction starting in 2020.

My apologies if this has been posted before but I for one couldn't find it and I felt some clarity was needed. If you still feel confused please see page 5 in the link.

Thanks for clearing that up, so as I understand it there will be apartments closest to the river then?
Yeah, apparently. I like it better than replacing it with more office buildings. Residential buildings so centrally creates even more movement on the streets, both in the day and at night. Gothenburg needs very much of that in it's central parts. The city is very lucky to have, unlike Stockholm, very much space near downtown to build on. And in 8-10 years this location will be completely different from today. Modern buildings, skyscrapers and city life will make the area markable as the economic, cultural and shopping centre of the city. Together with the new bridge landing here and Västlänken being underneath, I just can't wait for all to happen!

Peab bygger kontorskvarter i Göteborg för 2 100 MSEK

Peab har fått uppdraget att bygga kontorskvarteret Platinan som en del av den nya Älvstaden i Göteborg. Vasakronan är beställare för uppdraget och kontraktssumman uppgår till 2 100 MSEK.

Utvecklingsplanen för Göteborgs Stad samlas under Vision Älvstaden. Kvarteret Platinan blir Peabs första projekt i det stora utvecklingspaketet. I samverkan med beställaren Vasakronan bygger Peab kvarteret som totalt omfattar cirka 60 000 kvadratmeter ljus BTA i 18 våningsplan. Platinan kommer inrymma bland annat hotell, kontor, eventytor och restauranger.

Platinan kommer att ha den nya Hisingsbron som närmaste granne och erbjuda hyresgästerna utsikt över älven. Markarbetena är i full gång och i samma område utför Peab även överdäckning av E45 som ska möjliggöra bebyggelse på Götatunnelns tak. Det pågår även flera andra projekt runt området vilket medför utmaningar vad gäller logistik och transporter.

Platinan har en unik arkitektur med stora glasfasader och stort fokus på hållbarhet. Peab bygger enligt certifieringen LEED med målsättning på högsta betyg Platinum.

– Platinan är ett fantastiskt projekt som med sin utformning kommer att sätta en tydlig prägel på Göteborg. I region Väst är det Peabs hittills största byggprojekt och vi är väldigt stolta över att forma kvarteret tillsammans med Vasakronan, säger Stellan Haraldsson, regionchef Peab.

Projektet beräknas stå färdigt till årsskiftet 2021/2022. Uppdraget är en totalentreprenad i partnering och projektet orderanmäls i det andra kvartalet 2018.

This should mean that actual start if construction (and not ”only” ground work) is near!

Also good to get the 16+2 floor count confirmed from another source (since the detail plan does not allow this). It will for sure set the standard for buildings in the area.
