whats going to happen to BHP's old building at 600 Bourke St. Who is moving in? etc

law firms Mallesons leased 12000sqm and Gadens leased 6500sqm, leaves about 16000sqm empty

Finally a core rise at QV1 !!!!

Well after what must *surely* create a new record (in Melbourne at least) for the longest gap between one regular core rise and another...

FINALLY the Core has risen at QV1 to EXPOSE LEVEL 29

It has seriously been *at least* 6 months I'd say since the last rise..

But finally back on track!!! The floorplates have been catching up fast as people have observed but now looks like it's all guns blazing to 44+ !!

Now those pics do BHP-Billiton justice & it looks like the true corporate headquaters that it is.

Pfft, runs rings around the new AWB House on Lonsdale (being around similar shape 'n height).

Thanks for the dedication pic tayser :) Even when I lived in Melbourne I got Lonsdale and La 'Trobe mixed up; still do, still will. Guess it's because both start with 'L' and end in 'E', I kinda guess LOL.

Still doesn't change things. It's funny how Melbourne got 3 scrapers of similar height and shape around the same time. Crown Prom. AWB, and BHP-B HQ.

Looking at your recent pics again, I feel like Iiiiiii'm almost there :D

WELLLL...... there are these:



if I were to buy an apartment in this building, I'd want that corner above ^^ The quieter end will be on Russell Street (some privacy) yet only a stone's throw away from it all, plus you'd get morning sun as opposed to long burning afternoon sun... anyhow:



but I originally thought they were far too n00by - as I said, I only just got the cam so just getting used to it :D

Still havent got a Swanston Street "vista" yet - so good seeing something -really- modern up that end of the street :guns1: :cool:

I have! I bought one on this corner - mainly because I was blown away by
the Wardle design and also it was so good to finally see something being done
on this site. Everything so far has absolutely vindicated my decision - except
perhaps for those yellow inserts!

:rofl: @ yellow inserts - there's another project, 8 Exhibition Street, with hints (*cough*) of yellow that not too many people are keen on ;)

Was in there again today.

I love it. All the streets with in it. Such a cool designer.

Had some stuff at the food court area. the asia bakery is now open, KFC I think is open, Wendy's between Safeway and BigW is open.

And the clothing shops aren't far off. You can now access the middle direct from Swanston St. Can't wait till more opens.

Yeah it's cool! Though I was more impressed with the Chapel St Strike (better lighting - more futuristic).

But then again it was like their 2nd day open and still building and it was daytime..

Core Rise - Level 30 exposed

Yep... QV Resi is once again well and truly ALL :guns1: BLAZING ..

Core rise to exposed level 30 coming only a week and a bit after the previous rise.. following such a long pause..

I'm assuming the core will rise to numerical 44 or 47 ?? I forget the total number of floors above ground including the retail podium...
