:cheers1: np. i opened the second part because i thought it's a good idea to have a summary of Constanta's major projects. so, are there any other projects i should add ?

ps. pescarush, what's wrong with manchester ? :lol: we've got United :banana:

Things are going well at Flamenco project, the spanish investors aren't affected by the recent financial crisis.

Gran Via: Cash is king in times of crisis

Gran Via this summer started construction works on the first project in Romania, in Constanta, where it will build 1,000 apartments in Flamenco project. "We've so far invested 10m euros of our own funds in this project and we have two offers, from BCR and La Caixa, for a 30m-euro loan, enough for us to finish the first stage of the project, which includes 400 apartments. We've sold around 10% of the homes in this stage and we estimate sales of 15-20%. Still, next year we plan to raise prices as we have a profitability of below 10% for the first block," Vallbona says.

Some bad news: :(

Central Apartments

RomReal has decided to terminate the contract for the construction of the Central Apartments project due to slow progress of sales. The Management is currently negotiating with the construction company how to wind down the activity. The termination will be handeled according to the FIDIC standards. The deposits from people who have signed deposit contracts will be returned. In addition, the project will be properly secured and made safe prior to demobilization.
Oasis Residences

RomReal decided to suspend the project following the completion of the construction of the ‘structures’ for the first three buildings in phase 1 (of the total 3 phased development). This effectively means that the project will be suspended as of the end of 2008 until further notice, while Romreal assess whether the market conditions have improved sufficiently to move forward again on sales. In addition, the project will be properly secured and made safe prior to demobilization.
However, construction work continues on Corallia project : :)

Corallia Holiday Apartments

This development has a good location on Mamaia Boulevard and the sales progress has been better than that of the other projects to date. The Contractor SC Baumeister SRL has commenced works following the lifting of the Mamaia Resort summer building restrictions on 15th September 2008 and has made good progress to date on steel sheet piling works, excavations and water control measures. Baumeister is slightly behind schedule, but completion is still expected in summer 2009. The number of binding sales contracts have now reached break-even levels for the project based on the current cost and time assumptions.

ok deci ne-am mutat aici...bun

au aparut de ceva timp niste containere mici pentru reciclat...cine stie mai multe despre asta? mi se par cam ridicol de mici si inutile

To bad is over before really started. :(
Is starting again in a year or two, it's inevitable. Until then we will have moderate growth, and we should concentrate on preparing the economy to take advantage better of the coming high growth years, because once it's going to start, it will be infinitely more difficult to implement tough policies.

I have the same feeling. As I've said many times here, I strongly believe that Constanta will become the most important investment hotspot in Romania in the next decennia. "It's inevitable" ! :cheers:

Infrastructure stuff:

“The Transportation Ministry submitted to the European Commission (EC) four large projects, worth 250 million euros, which are to be evaluated to obtain financing via the Sectoral Operational Transport Programme (SOP-T). Three of these projects were already sent for evaluation by the EC, one currently waiting for the evaluation by the Management Authority,” Barna said.

One of the projects is the Cernavoda - Constanta Motorway (southeastern Romania), which had already got financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB) worth 250 million euros, with the Romania state to co-finance the project, via European funds, with another 70 million euros.

Another project will be the Constanta City Ring Road (southeastern Romania, on the Black Sea shore), worth 191.5 million euros, out of which 86 million are coming from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), 52.7 million euros from European funds and the remaining from the budget.

The third large project already sent to the EC is the one related to the building of a dam deeper in the sea in the Constanta Port, worth 143.99 million euros, out of which 83.7 million to come via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), with the remaining to be taken from the state budget.

Despre astea vorbeam. S-au amplasat prin mai multe zone ale orasului. Vorbeam cu cineva si intradevar si-ar gasi utilitate pentru sticlele de 0,5 care le bei pe drum in rest nu cred ca ai veni cu punga cu bidoane dupa tine sa le "inserezi" acolo pe rand.

Waw. E bine ca se gandesc la lucrul asta. Cred totusi ca acele containere sunt exact ptr. ce ai spus (sticle de 0.5 pe care le bei in oras). Sper sa vad si la ghenele de gunoi de pe langa blocuri containere mai mari pentru deseuri reciclabile. Chiar adineauri am imprimat aiurea o carte destul de groasa si ma gandeam ca-i pacat ca arunc des multa hartie ce poate fi reciclata.

* mi se pare mie sau tot ce-apare nou prin oras, apare mai intii in sud-ul orasului. nu e prima data cand aflu aici unele chestii (stalpii cu afisaj de ex.). eu stau in centru, in zona spitalului judetean si n-am vazut inca containere de-astea. :)
