Just a little update, a DA (A003889038) for construction management plans has gone up for Veritas. I quite like this one, so it will be good to see it in the flesh.

Construction management plans have been lodged for this stating construction is to commence in Q3. Final piece of the puzzle

^^ The Stanley Street frontage isn't too bad, but the other sides aren't attractive. If the laneway turns out as good as the renders though, I'll forgive it!

^^That laneway design is pretty interesting, hopefully it doesn't get watered down as it's nice to see a bit of character continuing to develop around here along with the antiques precinct etc.

Ad in the Courier Mail today says Trafalgar Lane is 70% sold and will commence construction next month (July 2014).

Interconnecting lane between Stanley and Trafalgar:

One question I have: is there actually a heritage brick wall that they're incorporating into the development?

If not, then why construct a "faux-heritage" wall? I can't think of anything tackier! Might as well be called "Brisneyland".

^^ I think that image was an early artist impression of the laneway. The end result, while still using recycled brick, will have a more contemporary appearance with recycled weatherboard and green walls also incorporated.

We've got a new one (A003895685) on a site between Hubert and Gibbon Streets, just off Stanley Street (where the Gibbon Street Tunnel-Boring Machine retrieval shaft for the Clem7 was located). What makes it interesting though is that this 6 storey project is an ARIA development!

There are a fair few limitations to this site due to it being on top of the retrieval shaft, the big one being that there cannot be any basements constructed, so all parking needs to be at grade.

There's a rather large cross block link going through the site too.

Similar in scale to their Nundah development. Looks like they have a two tier market going on. Smart.

^^ Nathan did mention that ;)

Nice to see Aria in another area of the city. Great to see a few developments being proposed for woolloongabba as well!

Will be great once they start turning blue :)

I just came across a DA (A003897112) for 2 Scott Street at Kangaroo Point, and I think we might have a landmark building on our hands courtesy of this design from Bureau^Proberts! Three of the building's four faces feature this amazing looking facade that reflects the face of the Cliffs, while also incorporating a green wall on the side facing Main Street.
