Took these today from Pac-Fair:

These are going to really stick out in BB, I mean 180m for the first one, 220 for the next, even higher after that, and they are gold!

It looks like the Meriton Suites, 188m, will definitely start soon, with a piler and associated equipment now on site.

In Melbourne, Vicinity has announced a muti-stage 7 tower redevelopment of Box Hill Central and surrounds in Box Hill over a 5.5 hectare site that will add 350,000m2 of space. The first two towers are a 48 level residential tower of approx 155m and a 25 level office tower of approx 110m. The first stage is subject to around five different planning applications including the creation of new squares and other community spaces.

Further to the above, we now have enough information to say with confidence that this will be the largest non-CBD project in Australia. With 80,000m2 of net lettable area (110,000m2 gross) of office, a large hotel tower and 1,900 apartments, the total scale is up there with Melbourne Square and Westside Place and the Brisbane Casino project, larger than anything in Parramatta, Macquarie Park or the Gold Coast.

Jeepers, that takes some courage.

Vicinity, who are they? Chinese? With all the "cold war" rhetoric spewing recently (both sides, us included) I wonder about some of projects from that land.

Also, isn't Box Hill already something like +100m RL, so 155m could look very tall from some distant vistas.

Tbf it's nothing outrageous from vicinity. They completely renovated the Glen and chucked a few (somewhat smaller) towers on top of that. Basically doing the same but on a bigger scale here

Vicinity are an Australian property company mainly in large shopping centres and are worth about $26 billion.

Vicinity is one of Australia' largest Real Estate Investment Trusts. It owns tons of shopping centres including half of Chadstone (the Gandel family own the other half), The Glen, Northland, Chatswood Chase, Roselands, several DFO's and heaps of other centres. Even with the bearish market view on retail, its market value is still $9.2 billion (that's net of all debt) as of five minutes ago.
