Always wanted to do a Leeds sculpture thread, but never had the time to waste. Three of my faves instead (the Nymphs, Black Prince, and Circe)

This thread is quite a bad advert for the UK. To continue the theme:

Actually I quite like the 'Quantum Leap' sculpture in Shrewsbury, to commemorate the work of Charles Darwin:

much more elegant than the horrific 'Darwin's Gate' in the centre of the town:

Much bigger than just this photo shows, street art going up around an empty plot in Wolverhampton. Eventually this will be shops, opposite the new bus station.

This may be of interest to anyone coming down to Bristol in the next 9 weeks

Gromit Unleashed

http://www.gromitunleashed.org.uk/

80 Gromits, 10 Weeks, 1 City

Led by Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal and Aardman Animations, Gromit Unleashed is a public art exhibition in which giant sculptures of Gromit, decorated by invited artists, have been unleashed on the streets of Bristol and the surrounding area.

At the end of the art trail, the sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children's Hospital Charity.
