Private Renting Strategy Consultation (Manchester City Council)

Thursday 21 November, 4–7pm
City Library, Lower Ground Floor
St Peter’s Square
Manchester, M2 5PD and online at www.manchester.gov.uk/consultations (open until 22 November)

Manchester City Council is preparing a strategy for the private rental sector. Privately rented homes have become one of the most popular types of housing in the city so it is important that, as it grows, standards are maintained and the sector retains the trust of Manchester people.

To make sure this happens, the city council regularly reviews its approach to housing to ensure the strategy responds to residents' and landlords’ experience of private housing and ensures the Council can react to emerging issues in the market.

Central to this is the input from renters, landlords, lettings agents - amongst others - so the review can reflect what is working well, what isn’t working and what should be improved.

I’m assuming they mean one of the most popular for developers.

Anyway, good to see these conversations being had :)
